Concord, N.C. (September 5, 2009) – USARacing kicked off their four race championship series this past weekend at Concord Speedway in Concord, North Carolina. As the driver and owners points were reset for the championship races based on regular season point standings, teams turned up the heat hoping to redeem themselves and still have the chance to come out on top with the 2009 series title.

Henderson Motorsports along with driver Caleb Holman left Langley Speedway a few weeks ago sitting 7th in the regular season points standings and after Concord Saturday night they had moved up to 5th with only seventy-eight points between them and the series points leader Clay Rogers. Holman earned extra points throughout his consistent 8th place run at Concord by picking up the Strutmasters.com Pole Award, laying down a lap time of 16.640, and also grabbed the Halfway Leader Award leading 74 laps throughout the BF Goodrich Tires 250.

“We’re starting to get back up on our feet here at Henderson Motorsports. There for a few races we struggled with grip issues, but we are definitely stepping forward and trying to make up for the ground we’ve lost. I believe that this past weekend was a step forward to where we need to be heading. We had a great qualifying run and the car was good throughout most of the race, we just have to tweak a few more things here and there. I have to give most of the credit to our guys. They have hung in there and stuck with us when this job hasn’t been too glorious and they have been devoted to this team and I thank them for that”, commented Holman after Saturday night’s running of the BF Goodrich Tires 250 at Concord Speedway.

Up next on the plate for the USARacing Championship Series is Iowa Speedway on September 19th. “We like going out to Iowa. It’s definitely a change of pace for us short-trackers going to a 7/8 mile track, but we have ran pretty decent there in the past and enjoy having that track within our championship races”, commented Holman on next weeks running of the Iowa 200.
